I own the physical book but have misplaced it. The book itself is 5 stars. I thought I would download it to my android tablet so I could have a digital copy as well. This is the reason for the 1 star review.Half the content is missing from the digital version. For instance, the index lists chapter 1 through chapter 9. It is obvious there is more writing on the "page". It is simply disappearing below the screen display. I manually scrolled to see how many chapters there are. There are 13 chapters. The text on the page is scrunched up on the left side so less than half of my tablet screen has text on it. I played around with the controls to see if I could fix it. I was unable to so returned the book within 5 minutes of purchase. It may work better on an actual Kindle,i simply do not know.The book is a fantastic book on hand planes. If you are a hand plane enthusiast or just simply want to know about different types of planes, get the book. Just skip the digital version if you own an Android device. A fantastic book for ANYONE into hand planes. They do, by the way, have some info on different types of scrapers as well, which is a nice bonus. This is my kind of book---nice pictures, easy to understand text, some plane history, and just about anything else you may want to know.This book will guide you on picking the right plane, tuning the plane, making adjustments, sharpening, proper technique, and more. It discusses metal, wood, transitional, and molding planes.
